We hired Jimmy of J&S Remodeling, LLC, to remodel our three bathrooms, and we were extremely pleased with the work that he did, the time frame in which he did it, and the reasonableness of the cost. I am so glad that we hired Jimmy because he is an excellent tile setter, and he knows what he is doing. He and his crew did a beautiful job with both the tile work and everything else. I couldn’t be more pleased.The scope of work for which we hired Jimmy and his crew included• removal of two fiberglass shower/tub units, and an old toilet:• building a shower base, a shower bench, a shower curb, and two custom shower niches;• waterproofing of shower walls, base, and tub surround;• installation of a new tub, toilet, tile in the master bathroom shower, and tile surrounding the hall bathroom tub;• removal of old mirrors, lights, exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures, countertops, towel rods, etc.;• installation of new plumbing and plumbing fixtures, lights and dimmer switches, exhaust fans, mirror, towel rods, etc.;• repair of sheetrock in preparation for painting.When I first spoke with Jimmy over the phone, he was able to talk with me about the various methods of waterproofing a shower since it was important to me to make sure everything was waterproofed properly. I felt comfortable with the information he gave me, so we set up a date for him to come look at the project and give me an estimate. Within a few days of Jimmy’s visit, he emailed an estimate which was professional, easy to understand, and reasonable in cost. Jimmy said he thought they could complete their portion of the work in about two weeks and would let me know at what points I should have my paint, granite, and mirror contractors do their part. I ordered and paid for all tile, fixtures, etc., and we agreed that I would pay 1/3 of the labor at the beginning of the work, 1/3 midway through, and the balance at the end of the project.Jimmy and his crew began work as scheduled on November 23, 2020, showed up each day as promised, and worked diligently to complete the job on time. When I had questions, I would ask, and I learned to trust Jimmy’s judgment.
